The questions we are asked most. If yours is not here, ask us directly — we answer everything ourselves.

The fragrances

What is extrait de parfum?

It is the highest standard concentration in fine fragrance. Ours are 30 to 40% aromatic compound, against roughly 15–20% for a typical eau de parfum. The practical effect is longer wear and a slower, fuller drydown — not simply a louder scent.

How long will it last on skin?

The longevity figure on each product page comes from our own wear testing and is given in hours. Real-world results vary with skin type, temperature, humidity and how much you apply — dry skin holds fragrance less well than oily skin, and heat lifts a scent faster.

Are your fragrances vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. No animal-derived materials are used in any composition, and nothing is tested on animals at any stage.

Where can I find the ingredients and allergens?

Full ingredients and allergen information is printed on every bottle and box, and we are happy to send it to you before you buy. Just email us. If you have a known sensitivity, please check with us before ordering.

How should I store a bottle?

Boxed, upright, away from sunlight and radiators. Heat and light degrade a fragrance far faster than time does — a bathroom windowsill is the worst place in most homes.

Inspiration and originality

Are these copies of designer fragrances?

No. They are our own formulations. Where a fragrance was inspired by a well-known composition we say so plainly on the product page, because we think that is more honest than pretending otherwise.

What we will never do is describe them as copies, replicas or dupes, put a designer name in a product title, or show you someone else’s price beside ours. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by any brand we reference, and all trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

Will it smell identical to the original?

No, and we would not claim it does. Different materials, different house, different formulation. A fragrance inspired by another shares a family and a direction, not a formula.

Why are some products not inspired by anything?

Because they are entirely our own, with no reference point. Those product pages carry no inspiration credit at all.

Ordering and delivery

Can I try before buying a full bottle?

Yes. Every fragrance is available as a 5ml tester. We would rather you spent a few pounds finding out it is not for you than fifty finding out the same thing.

How much is delivery and how long does it take?

Free on UK orders over £50, otherwise £3.95 for Royal Mail Tracked 48. Orders placed before 3pm on a working day are dispatched the same day; orders placed after 3pm are dispatched the next working day. Delivery then takes 2–3 working days with Tracked 48, or 1–2 working days with Tracked 24. Need it sooner? Next Working Day Delivery is £9.95 for orders placed before 12pm, Monday to Friday. Full detail is on our Shipping & Returns page.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Not at present. Fragrance is a flammable liquid with real restrictions on how it can be carried, and we would rather not offer international shipping than offer it badly.

Returns

What is your returns policy?

You can return any fragrance within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, even if you have opened or used it. Please note that the return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer. This is longer than the law requires and is in addition to your statutory rights, including your right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Full details are on our Shipping & Returns page.

Can I return an opened tester?

Yes. 5ml testers can be returned within 30 days of delivery, even if they have been opened or used, just like full-size bottles.

My order arrived damaged. What now?

Tell us and we will put it right at our cost. Photograph the parcel before opening it if you can — it makes the carrier claim much faster.
